throwin' a big rock

Alex Pyren

27 - 28 July 2018

throwin' a big rock is an exhibition of new work by Alex Pyren. The work draws from Queer Theory and reconstructs lived experiences in order to interrogate the visibility and interferences of queer identities in public space.

The artist would like to acknowledge the Turrbal people who are the Traditional Custodians of the land on which this work was realised and produced. They would like to pay their respects to Elders – past, present and emerging - and recognise the important role Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people continue to play within the community.
